The Canal Etchings – Jason Hicklin Exhibition  2 to 31 March

Nationally renowned etcher Jason Hicklin will exhibit recent etchings inspired by the canals of Shropshire and the border with Wales. The etchings form part of a commission from the Ellesmere Sculpture Initiative to install six site specific stainless steel etched sculptures.

Odin’s Garden,  ‘Vi’ – The Spiritual Place.

“In Nordic mythology, Odin was the God of War. He had the ability to morph and metamorphosis is a fundamental characteristic of my work. Small changes in the positions of individual elements morph the overall form. To create the ‘Vi’, I have developed the technique of porcelain slip-casting for the multiple forms and the larger forms are slab-built.” Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt
