Census day has now passed but many people are yet to complete their census forms. Below is an updated list of support contact telephone numbers for those that need help. The National helplines will continue to operate for several weeks and the Shropshire Census Support Centres are providing a telephone and online service.
Field staff will now be contacting households that have not returned their census forms. The role of Field officers is to give help and encouragement to those who have not yet filled in their census questionnaire online or on paper and direct them to the support services they need. The safety of the public is a key priority for the ONS and the Census Field team:
- Will never need to enter people’s houses
- They will always be socially distanced
- They wear PPE and work in line with all government guidance
- They will be operating in the same way as a postal or food delivery visit.
