The annual Qube Arts Open competition and exhibition returns for 2021. This increasingly popular event attracts artists from across the country, with entries reflecting a set theme. Anyone is eligible to enter and works can be of any medium, 2D, 3D or digital.
A £500 cash prize is awarded to the winning artist, decided by an independent panel of judges. There is also a People’s Choice Prize for the artist with the most public votes. The winner of this will receive their own 4 week exhibition at Qube the following year. An exhibition of shortlisted entries will be held at Qube and online from 1st July to 27th August and the winner of the Best in Show prize will be announced at a Prize Giving evening during the exhibition*.
We are now inviting entries for this years competition. The theme for 2021 is ‘Shape & Colour’ and the deadline for entries is Saturday 5th June 2021. In response to the current situation, the Qube Arts Open 2020 will also have a virtual exhibition, so that those who may still be self-isolating can view and engage with the exhibition from the safety of their own homes.
