Handmade on Sunbeam
Sue is a green woodworker, using traditional carving methods to create jewellery, spoons, hair accessories, buttons, and salt pots from sustainably sourced locally foraged native wood. With over 20 years’ experience, in the last five years she has been trading from the 58’ narrowboat Sunbeam. Usually to be found trading all over the canal system in Britain, since lockdown Sunbeam is now on a permanent mooring near Oswestry.
Morgan gave up her career as a teacher five years’ ago to live aboard Sunbeam. Over this time, she has developed a range of recycled-leather products such as eternal-journals and satchels. The leather she uses is offcuts sourced from one of the premiere leather suppliers in the UK. The handsewn journals (A5 or A6 in size) contain notebooks that can be replaced once filled, hence the name ‘eternal journal’.
