Linda Lawman

I have always been interested in textiles, and sewing and knitting have been my passion for many years. Since retiring from nursing a few years ago, my interest has developed into an obsession! I now spend many hours creating knitted items – some are hand knitted and others are made on my manual knitting machine. I have attended several machine knitting courses, which have helped me to understand the complexities of these amazing machines. The possibilities and combinations of texture and colour are endless – both with machine knitting and hand knitting. My favourite has to be anything fairisle, followed closely by lace knitting. I can highly recommend this craft – it is a very effective distraction during these difficult times!
