Upcoming exhibitions at Qube Gallery

This year will see the return of some of our favourite exhibitions including the Qube Open Art Competition, the Millicent Kaye Exhibition and the fabulous Christmas Crafts at the end of the year.

Photography Competition & Exhibition

12 March to 28 April

An exhibition of entries to this year’s photographic competition all on the theme of ‘Lines’. There is a best in show prize and People’s choice prize up for grabs.

20:20 Print Exchange

1 May to 12 June

​The 20:20 print exchange, run by Hot Bed Press, started in 2009 with 10 artists from Hot Bed Press in Salford exchanging prints with another 10 from Red Hot Press in Southampton. It has since outgrown its humble beginnings and, since then, 60,000 prints have been exchanged. Each artist receives a unique box of randomly selected prints from across the UK, Ireland, and this year studios in Hong Kong and Canada.

Millicent Kaye Children's Art 2020

15 to 29 June

This annual competition, organised by the Rotary Club of Oswestry, invites school children in and around Oswestry to submit a piece of art on a particular theme. Shortlisted works will go on display in Qube Gallery.

Umbrella

1st July to 3rd August

An exhibition of digital artworks, photographs and animations by students of Derwen College in collaboration with artists, Paul Kielty and Nadia Kingsley. The work on display will be the culmination of a digital art project funded by Arts Council England.

Qube Arts Open

6 August to 14 September

This popular annual competition returns in 2020 with a brand new theme. There is a cash prize for the Best in Show and exhibition space in 2021 for the People’s Choice favourite. This years theme will be announced in the Spring. Visit www.qube-oca.org.uk/qubeopen for details on how to enter.

Christmas Arts and Crafts 2020

5 November to 23 December

Over the festive period the gallery will be filled with locally made arts and crafts, ranging from woodwork, ceramics and textiles to jewellery, books and fine art. The perfect place to pick up unique Christmas gifts.
