ART-efact workshop with Martha Clark

Martha has been working closely with the Oswestry Town Council archives and has been inspired by the physical objects of the archives such as archive containers and papers. She is intrigued by the human need to document and self archive which has inspired her sketchbook process.

For this workshop each participant will create an archive inspired concertina sketchbook in a box, we’ll make them from scratch and explore different styles of creating sections and compartments and talk about the importance of sketch-booking, how it helps lead our creative process, and thought process-whether it’s for art projects, research or scrapbooking memories, or all of the above! Bring along a sketchbook container or some personal items, like a ticket to an important show, postcards or photos, to put in the first couple pages.
