Portrait Sculpture Workshop with George Triggs

Working from a life model, this workshop will introduce you to the fundamental skills needed to create a portrait sculpture in clay. This will include learning the principles of proportion, anatomy and measuring, as well as experimenting with a variety of tools and mark making techniques to add expression and detail to your piece.
George will provide individual, expert guidance and advice throughout the workshop. On completion, you will have created a half life-size portrait head in professional air-dry clay which you can take home.
This workshop is suitable for beginners interested in developing basic skills in clay portraiture, as well as those with experience who wish to build on their existing skills.
This workshop will be taught by award-winning figurative sculptor George Triggs. With over 20-years experience, George has taught sculpture and life-drawing at the London Art Academy, produced a portfolio of personal artworks, and created a number of commissioned public sculptures.
This is a six hour workshop, please bring along lunch.
