Opportunity

Breast Cancer Now information points ensure people visiting breast clinics have easy access to information, leaflets and resources and make it easier for healthcare professionals to provide information.

As an information point volunteer, you\'ll help connect people to Breast Cancer Now and raise awareness of the work we do to support those living with breast cancer.

By volunteering 1 to 2 hours a month you\'ll ensure people have access to clear and helpful information on breast cancer and what support and treatments are available. This is a light touch and flexible role where you\'ll keep the information point up to date, accurate and well-kept.

What will I be doing?

  • Visit the information point within the healthcare setting once a month, ideally in office hours (9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday)
  • Oversee and manage the stock on the information point
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals about stocking the information point
  • Order new publications using an online system
  • Tidy and reorganise the content of the information point to be eye-catching

Hear from Nicky, one of our amazing information point volunteers:

\"I am really enjoying this role. In addition to meeting people, it gives me a real sense that I am helping patients easily access properly researched and trustworthy information at a time when they need help and support. I also feel that I am helping to raising awareness of Breast Cancer Now and all it has to offer to the hospital staff.\"
