Work alongside our staff teams to provide support to victims of crime helping them to move beyond crime via emotional and practical support both face to face and online.
Support in the process of enabling victims and perpetrators of crime to come together to collectively repair and find a positive way forward.
Contact with potential participants to get their consent to engage in the restorative justice process.
Administrative activities such as maintaining case files and notes.
Offer emotional and practical support to the service user throughout the RJ process and accompany them to the RJ meeting to give support before and after the meeting takes place. (if relevant)
Research and evaluate information about the restorative justice process.
Prepare participants for the restorative process ensuring all areas of risk are assessed and suitable control measures are in place.
Complete follow up support for victim and perpetrator.
Explain what Victim Support does and what support is available.
Support with Restorative Justice reports.
