My subject matter is inspired by personal observations and experiences, storytelling & the human condition. About half of my work has always been figurative while the other half of me focuses on printmaking and bookmaking. At times these two creative personas meet. Recent prints have used letterpress text with silkscreen sending me back to my past. I studied Graphic Design & Illustration at Camberwell School of Art where I made my first artists books and fell in love with printmaking. I went on to Post-Graduate Printmaking at Brighton School of Art then moved into teaching and gained MA in Art and Education at U.C.E. in Birmingham. For many years I taught art in Community projects and in Arts in Health/Therapeutic Arts provision. Now I concentrate on making my own work. I am a member of the Regional Print Centre, Marches Book Arts Group and The British Printing Society.
