“My name is Jules. I am a glass artist, part time Art teacher and mum to two girls. All my work is handmade from my small studio at home in Oswestry.
A long time ago I graduated with BA Hons in Ceramic and Glass Design before embarking on a career in teaching, that I still do and love. I have always continued to make my own work alongside teaching and finally decided it was time to set up my own glass business.
I love working with glass as there are so many processes, techniques, and endless possibilities. Within my work I use Bullseye art glass which is fused together at around 800c using a kiln. I like to use a range of inclusions in my work and often add sandblasted details. I create functional dishes, candle holders, wall hangings and small sculptures. I am really inspired by nature and the natural environment including landscapes, seascapes, botanical forms and textures and colours found in nature.
If you would like to find out more about my work please follow me on Instagram to see what new things I have been working on.”
