About

My husband bet me I couldn’t draw smaller, in a sketch book, with pencils and I was determined to prove him wrong!
On the 8th April 2021, I did my first drawing ever – of a baby rabbit and it went well!
And so began my tentative love affair with drawing!
I enjoy drawing birds, animals and cartoon characters.
I am not good with faces!
So I drew “Henrietta!”
A lady of mystery, with no face ,
and the emphasis focuses on her hat!
I have drawn 13 pictures of Henrietta in different places and this is special as it is my first one, introducing her to my world!

I discovered I could paint last March and I could draw last April 2021!
After being bet by husband that I couldn’t draw anything small to fit in a sketch pad, with just pencils, I was determined to prove him wrong!
And I have improved as time has gone on!
I enjoy drawing birds, animals and cartoon characters.
I discovered I work well with browns, oranges,
greys and black pencils.
Earlier this Spring, a March Hare crossed my path as I was driving down a country road and inspired me to draw one when I got home!
And here he is!
One of my favourite drawings and I am so pleased he has been chosen to be entered in this competition.
