A fascinating evening talk by art historian, Sarah Gathercole as part of the Big Draw Festival.

Drawing has been described as the artists thinking medium – that which most directly expresses artistic thought. This exploration of drawing through 500 years of history gives an insight into some of the world’s most astonishing and celebrated artists, examining the materials they used, what they drew and how they used drawing to experiment, simplify and enquire into their world.

Sarah will also delivering another evening talk as part of the Big Draw Festival, The Artist and the Asylum, on Wednesday November 27 at 7pm
