Letterpress is a relief printing process which uses raised engravings or metal type to imprint designs and words onto paper. The process itself is both satisfying and rewarding with a gentle, rhythmic pace.   Ludlow-based artist, Dulcie Fulton of Mostly Flat will bring along two or her precious hand presses along with an array of patterned characters for you to arrange and assemble into beautiful designs. You will create unique and original prints ready to mount and frame at home.

Learn how to make a set of pretty mini letterpress prints  using ‘Glint’ ornaments. This workshop will introduce you to these lovely and flexible mid-century decorations and the basics of pattern-making, as well as showing you how to compose and print your designs in several colours using an Adana 8×5 tabletop printing press.

No previous experience necessary.
