Our busy and demanding lifestyles can leave us feeling anxious, stressed and unable to switch off.
Practicing Mindfulness is an effective way to help deal with daily challenges and the ups and downs of life. Evidence now suggests that practicing mindfulness techniques can us respond to stress and anxiety in a different, less reactive way and improve our focus and resilience. There is also evidence to suggest that Mindfulness can help with our physical health, reducing pain, improving our immunity and helping us to sleep better.
During this four-week course you will learn how you can incorporate mindfulness into your day to day life and learn simple techniques to help you stay grounded in the present moment, rather than worrying about the past or future.
The sessions will be taught by Mindfulness Practitioner, Cath Mercer, who has trained through The University of Bangor Mindfulness programme. Cath has over 20 years clinical experience in the NHS.
Please note that the course may not be suitable for those experiencing serious a mental illness or who have experienced recent trauma or bereavement.
