Sue Coxhead: My Qube Volunteer Journey

Sue Coxhead - volunteer

Sue Coxhead joined the Qube volunteering team back in 2016 following her retirement as a little something to fill her time. She’s been volunteering with Qube ever since, having had a variety of different roles. Most recently she has been assisting at our social groups and what a fantastic help she is too!

We asked Sue to say a little more about here volunteering experience here…

“I find volunteering at the social groups really enjoyable and really rewarding. Helping at the social groups are really fun and the tasks are really varied; one minute you can be making teas and coffees and the next you can be participating in activities such as crafts or Tai Chi. I also really love chatting with the members and getting to know them more.

I feel that volunteering has helped me maintain skills and self-confidence and I have also gained new friends from partaking in this opportunity. The Qube team (particularly Bella and Susie) are great at ensuring the volunteers enjoy their roles and feel valued. I appreciate that and feel that I am a part of a team, which is what I was looking for when I started.”
