Qube Volunteer Takes On Charity Tandem Skydive

Our Volunteer Dial-a-Ride Driver, Lara Mallon recently did something a little crazy… she participated in a tandem skydive to raise money for the Air Ambulance Charity!

Lara has been part of the Qube Volunteer Team since 2017, starting as a Passenger Helper and then completing her minibus training to become a Community Transport Driver.

We’re delighted to have offered support to Lara in the run up to the skydive both through donations as well as words of encouragement. Overall, she managed to raise a massive £1207 for the Air Ambulance Charity.

Lara had the backing from all of her friends at her line dancing group, as well as colleagues from Pentons and Qube, and they kindly offered to host events on her behalf, to encourage sponsorship donations! Here’s what she had to say; “I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me and offered their support to help me raise the money I did. It costs £288 per mission, so to be able to donate enough to cover four critical care missions is amazing!”
