How long can I hire the equipment for?

Scooters are available between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm on a daily basis. Wheelchairs are generally hired out for a half day or full day, however you can also rent for longer periods (subject to availability) for holidays, convalescence etc.

Who is the service for?

This service is for anyone – whether your disability is temporary or permanent. You don’t need to be registered as disabled or have a disabled badge.

What if I live outside of the area?

You are welcome to hire our equipment if you are a visitor or live outside the local area. Membership is free. Please bring a form of identification with your name and address on your first visit.

Using the equipment

Qube staff will provide you with full training and make sure you can operate the equipment safely and confidently before you leave.

How do I book?

If you have not hired equipment from Qube before please call in to complete a Shopmobility form.

What are the charges for hiring the equipment?

Scooters can be hired on a half-day basis with a charge of £5.

Wheelchairs can be hired on several levels, please see below for more details:

Half-day rate: £3.50

Full-day rate: £7

Week: £30 (reduced to £20 per second week and onwards for longer-term hire).

Collection and Drop-off of equipment

Please collect or return equipment between the following times:

Pick up:         Monday to Friday – 9am to 4pm
Drop off:      Monday to Friday – 9am to 4.30pm
Saturday – 9:30-12:00

Scooters and wheelchairs can be picked up from Qube at Oswald Road, Oswestry, SY11 1RB.

Unfortunately, we do not have a car park at Qube. There are several on street disabled parking bays directly opposite the building.

It may be possible to drop-off equipment using our Dial-A-Ride service by prior arrangement.
