We are looking for a volunteer/s to join the team who find and record additional content for the local talking newspaper. This work can be done from home and the resultant audio files transferred to the weeks issue on Wednesday/Thursday morning at the Guildhall studio.
Over a month this will add up to about four to eight hours work resulting in about three hours of recorded material. They also download and introduce extra items from the internet for the newspaper’s magazine section. This takes roughly two and a half hours a week to listen to and reformat the chosen downloads which come from specific, authorised sources.
Basic computing skills including file manipulation. A clear and interesting speaking voice to record into an audio software package (Audacity - free software) from local periodicals. We would expect the volunteer to audition for the main recording post. An understanding of the internet and managing audio files.
