Volunteers visit health and social care service settings from the lay perspective. They make observations on patient experience and talk to people using the service about whether it is working for them.
An evidence based report is written on the findings and submitted to the Enter and View Officer. Visits help providers see the users perspective of their service, they can use the reports to make positive changes with the users of their service in mind.
Each Enter and View visit consists of 3 parts; the planning meeting, the visit and the report writing. You will be asked to carry out at lease one authorised Enter and View visit a month (or equivalent) to keep your knowledge, skills and experience up to date.
Healthwatch Shropshire provide full training for this role, including equality and diversity training, safeguarding training, confidentiality training and training in enter and view. Healthwatch Shropshire pay expenses and try not to ask you to travel too far in the county. Access to a car is useful but not essential.
