Art History lecture – Thursday Afternoon

Art Historian, Sarah Gathercole has created another fascinating and inspiring programme of art history talks, providing illuminating insights into key periods and figures in art from early times up to the modern day.

The sessions will take place every Thursday afternoon, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Dates are as follows:

1st October  – Introduction to Art History
8th October – High Renaissance 1500 – 1510
15th October – Illuminated Manuscripts and Book Art
22nd October – Zurbaran 1598 – 1664 The Other Spain

Half Term w/c 26th October

29th October – French Revolution
5th November – Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood
12th November – Collage and Photomontage
19th November – Francis Bacon 1909-1992

No previous knowledge is required. All lectures are fully illustrated. Refreshments will be provided.
