With health, wellbeing, inclusivity and battling isolation and loneliness at the core of what we do, Qube have collaborated with a number of organisations to provide meaningful projects including; the Cancer Champions Programme, Social Prescribing and the Qube Friend project, just to name a few, that really will make a difference to the local Oswestry and wider Shropshire community.

Shropshire Community Blood Pressure Checks Project

 

The Shropshire Blood Pressure Checks Project hosts between 20-30 pop ups each month across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, with an aim to raise awareness of the symptoms and risks of cardiovascular disease (CVD) within high-risk local communities.

Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. In realisation of this, Shropshire Council has partnered with Qube to run a project that provides support to volunteers and community organisations to help change the current situation.

Social Prescribing is a free and confidential service to help you improve your health and wellbeing. With the support of a trained advisor, you will be able to access further support and community groups in your local area.

One of Qube’s core values is to be ‘inclusive’ which is why we’ve taken the opportunity to work with SAND (Safe Ageing No Discrimination), a local organisation campaigning for LGBT+ Rights in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin) .

Social Groups

 

At Qube we look for new ways to help people stay connected, meet new friends and get the support they need. We run two social groups every week – fun and friendly places to meet new people and try out some fun activities.
