Art History – Friday Afternoon

Art Historian, Sarah Gathercole has created another fascinating and inspiring programme of art history talks, providing illuminating insights into key periods and figures in art from early times up to the modern day.

The sessions will take place every Friday afternoon, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Dates are as follows:

23rd Jan – Introduction to art history
30th Jan – Early renaissance Italy
6th Feb – Court of Rudolf II 1552-1612
13th Feb – Velazquez –Spanish court

Half Term

27th Feb – Japanese prints influence –van Gogh
6th March – German expressionism
13th March – Photography the modern art form
20th March – Women war artists

No previous knowledge is required. All lectures are fully illustrated. Refreshments will be provided.
