Art History (Tuesday Afternoons)

Art Historian, Sarah Gathercole has created another fascinating and inspiring programme of art history talks, providing illuminating insights into key periods and figures in art from early times up to the modern day.

The sessions will take place every Tuesday afternoon, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Dates are as follows:

week 1    30th September – Introduction to Art History
week 2    7th October – Early Netherlandish Painting
week 3    14th October – Leonardo (1452 – 1519)
week 4    21st October – El Greco (1514 – 1614)

half term 27th October – 31st October

week 5    4th November – Impressionist Exhibition 1874
week 6    11th November – Folk Art
week 7    18th November – 1925
week 8  25th November – Surrealism Golden Age 1930 – 1960

No previous knowledge is required. All lectures are fully illustrated. Refreshments will be provided.
