Drawing Faces & Portraits

Join us for this four week course with David Bannister.

Dates: 8th, 15th 22nd and 29th June, 10am to 12noon.

You will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of drawing a portrait. Understanding proportion, modelling the head and how to see and draw the features of the face. Working from a printed or digital image and through keen observation and using line and tone, you will understand how to create a likeness in a portrait.

Please bring along an image that you would like to draw, either printed or on a tablet. Images can be provided if needed.

If you have a set of pencils 2B – 6B please bring these along too. There will be some available here. All other materials and equipment will be provided.
