Do you speak a second language? Here at Shropshire Supports Refugee, we are looking for volunteer interpreters to help us communicate more effectively with our clients. For many of the people we support, English may be a second, third, or even sixth language while for others, their English may be very limited. Your language skills could make a real difference in helping them feel heard, understood, and supported.

We welcome speakers of all languages, but we are especially interested in volunteers who speak Swahili, Amharic, Tigrinya, Dari, or Pashto.

This is an informal volunteering role and is unpaid, but it offers a meaningful opportunity to support your community, gain experience, and make a positive impact in someone’s life.

  • A friendly and approachable personality
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with refugees, migrants and asylum seeker
