Patient Support Volunteers provide companionship, reassurance, and non-clinical assistance to patients during their hospital stay. By offering both practical and emotional support, volunteers help to improve patients’ experiences, contributing to their comfort, wellbeing, and overall care. Working closely with ward staff, patients, and carers, volunteers play an important role in enhancing the quality of care and creating a supportive environment.
This role would suit someone who is compassionate, patient, empathetic, and enjoys providing support to others during vulnerable or challenging times.
