Tasks and responsibilities may include any of the
following:
Develop relationship with the local community by
attending local events, networking and visiting charities and community
initiatives
Engage businesses, charities and community groups
Create radio taster sessions with the support of the
InTune team
Help to project and capacity build
Additional Responsibilities:
Understand
the importance of the groups Health & Safety procedures.
Understand
the importance of confidentiality & safeguarding vulnerable children/and or
adults.
Be
aware of the standards set by INTUNE RADIO and the need to work to these
standards at all times.
What skills do I need?
Skills:
The
Volunteer Community Relations Director works as part of a team.
The
Volunteer Community Relations Director should be reliable and arrive to help on
the dates and times agreed.
Training:
Every
volunteer will receive our mandatory training Broadcast and Studio Training
Every
volunteer will have access & be signposted to training which the group
feels is appropriate for the role.
Every
volunteer will be trained in all the tasks they are required to carry out to
ensure they have the skills and confidence to fulfil their role.
No
volunteer will be expected to carry out their duties unsupervised until they
are confident and skilled in these duties.
All
volunteers will be supported by Presenters and their skills and contribution to
the group will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Volunteers
are covered by INTune Radio’s public liability and personal accident insurance
while working with us.
Volunteers
have to be 18 or over. There is no upper age limit.
Session
Volunteers aged 18 or over or who have left school are required to complete a
DBS check as they are working with vulnerable adults and children.
