Opportunity
Kitsquad is a charity which supports people in poverty to access the outdoors through providing donated clothing and equipment.
We are looking for staff to work in our warehouse, at Kitsquad HQ at Atcham. This role can be shared, and we ask for a minimum of 4 volunteering hours per week is desirable.
You will be:
• Accepting the donations of kit as they arrive
• Sorting through and checking that the quality of the donated kit
• Recognising what is suitable for the charity, what is suitable for being recycled and what is suitable to be sold in our online charity shops
• Making up the approved applications
• Updating beneficiaries recording, highlighting what items are being sent out.
• Booking in parcels with the courier
• Feeding back to the office staff when we are short of or running out of certain items in the warehouse
What skills do I need?
- Willing to work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
- Willing to work alone to get tasks done
- Must have a fair level of fitness, as this post is based in our warehouse
- Basic computer skills - training can be given
- Willing to be part of a young and pioneering charity
Full training will be provided.
