Would you like to make a positive difference to one of residents in our Retirement Living Schemes by supporting them with dog walking. We have a couple of opportunities at Forrest Way in Shrewsbury, where our residents have become unwell and need help walking there beloved companions. If you could spare sometime, then we may have the perfect volunteering role for you!

Care Plus commitment to you:
· Induction programme to ensure you have the skills and confidence to fulfil your role.
· All volunteers will require a DBS check which will be paid for by us.
· Out of pocket expenses reimbursed, including travel costs
· Additional training opportunities offered
· All volunteers will be supported by the Engagement and Volunteer Team and their skills and contribution to the group will be reviewed on a regular basis.

We are looking for fun loving individuals who are comfortable interacting with groups of people face to face. You must be non-judgmental and able to accept people for who they are and socialise with them with patience and understanding.
PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
WE KNOW THAT PEOPLE VOLUNTEER FOR MANY DIFFERENT REASONS. WHATEVER YOUR REASON FOR VOLUNTEERING AND WHATEVER TIME YOU ARE ABLE TO COMMIT, WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. THERE IS NO UPPER AGE LIMIT TO VOLUNTEERING WITH US, HOWEVER YOU WILL NEED TO BE OVER THE AGE OF 18. ALL SCHEMES HAVE FULL DISABLED ACCESS AND OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES WILL BE REIMBURSED, INCLUDING TRAVEL COSTS.
