Do you have an eye for fashion and a love for theatre?

As our Costumier, you’ll transform cast members into their characters, ensuring they look their best on stage. From sourcing and designing costumes to supporting quick changes during performances, your creativity and resourcefulness will bring productions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

● Create a detailed costume plot for each cast member based on the production’s requirements, detailing what cast members are to provide themselves.

● Source costumes within budget using charity shops, online platforms, or hiring services, ensuring the most cost-effective solutions.

● Manage the maintenance and safe return of hired costumes, and maintain an accurate inventory of the costume store.

● Attend rehearsals to ensure costumes fit well and are practical for performances.

● Provide backstage support during show week, including quick changes, repairs, and ironing.

● Organisation and time management – coordinating fittings, sourcing items, and keeping track of multiple costume pieces.

● Communication skills – working closely with the Director, cast, and production team to meet costume needs.

● Problem-solving – ability to make quick fixes during performances and adapt to last-minute costume issues.

Availability Details
