Opportunity
Volunteers needed to assist in the restoration of railway carriages and wagons. Restoration of dilapidated carriages and rolling stock carried out, as well as updating existing stock. Tasks include rubbing down and painting inside and outside carriages, carpentry, upholstery repair, welding, electrical work, servicing / replacing the bogies (wheel sets) and mechanical parts. Skills in individual disciplines not essential, enthusiasm and ability to work as part of a team, and help with any aspect of work is required.

Enthusiasm and working as part of a team. Skills an advantage but not essential
Some DIY / practical skills, mechanical knowledge, Welding and workshop experience, Carpentry, Painting and upholstery skills.
