Opportunity
This role involves serving drinks and lunch to our members; helping with activities such as arts, exercise and games, as well as socialising with members and making them feel welcome.
We have a number of members who come to our small Day Centre on a weekly basis. We provide transport, a hot meal, varied activities and outings, and company. Many of our members live alone and sometimes this is their only social event of the week.
The time commitment for this role is one day a week - The Day Centre runs every Thursday from 10am -3pm.
What skills do I need?
We are looking for someone who is friendly, with good communication skills who is understanding and empathetic towards the needs of older people.
We need volunteers who are able to commit to most Thursdays 10am -3pm.
